I have no truck with being nasty to people in the army (or the police or any of the arms of state) because they might be of any particular political persuasion.
But it bears pointing out that if a person goes into the army they accept that someone will tell them where to point their gun and shoot it. And that person might well be a twat. In fact, the odds of them not being a twat aren't in the person's favour.
What the Sergeant Major said and the puffed chests and patriotic applause that followed and the fact that if Harry dies it will be more of a problem for Blair than the 100 people dying who've died so far is just as much part of our problem as Blair is.
