A poem about dead cats

I never met the cat Zoe properly because I was taken very ill the one time I stayed at the Wisconsin house - but I promised that I would write something and here it is.

( A poem that tries to avoid sentimentality )

Fantasy goggles and what they make us see

This is being headlined in various places as 'Woman falls into Picasso painting' rather than 'through' or 'against'. 'Into' would mean that she suddenly found herself wandering along the beach with the saltimbanques, running away from the Guernica beasts or being shat on by that bloody dove.

Or is that just me, early in the morning?

Later I've pulled the piece that purported to be an anti-Glee rant - Bilerico had assured me that the site where it appeared was not a parody site, but I am persuaded now that it is, less by the piece about demon meat, than by some of the other material.

I am told that there is a rumout I have been asked to appear opposite Bindel on Queer Question Time. This is not true.

A couple of people involved in conversations of which I am a part have said, more or less, 'wouldn't it be nice if they suggested a compromise and asked someone like Roz onto the panel?'

My response has been 'if that were to happen, I would have to be guided by the General Will of the community', which would also, on consideration, be my response were any more eminent trans person, of whom there are many, ask me for my views about their being asked on this occasion or to this venue.

what Julie Bindel is like. Here she is expressing some views on gay men and gay male misogyny which stray into some very odd territory. I mean, yes, some gay men are horribly misogynistic, but for Julie it is all part of a conspiracy...And then there is WHAT THEY DO IN BED and how that oppresses women...

It would be funny in a sense, were it not for the way that some of what she says echoes the hate speech of the likes of Ssempa, the Ugandan homophobe who is using scat porn to build up murderous hatred of gay men, and lesbians like Bindel, all over Africa. He too believes in the gay conspiracy, after all. And in reparative therapy.

(Julie Bindel of course does not believe in reparative therapy for lesbians and gay men. She does however disapprove of bisexuals, and she does believe that trans people should have 'talking cure' therapy that will stop us wanting to be trans. She claims that this is entirely different from reparative therapy, and that she is not selling the pass to the likes of Ssempa. She is not lying; she just does not get it or how the sort of thing she says here can be used to further right-wing projects that kill women and men.

Quite honestly, she is not very bright.)
