The first episode of DEATHWORLD was in the first sf magazine my late aunt Meg ever gave me - along with Asimov's PEBBLE IN THE SKY and Bradbury's THE SILVER LOCUSTS, it was one of my foundation texts for adult sf. I rarely spoke to Harry Harrison and probably never told him how much I owed to him - nonetheless, I did, a lot.

Rest in peace, Harry.
