I have no idea at all whether this is any good or not, but any show with Anna Chancellor waving guns around and being sinister has something going for it. I imagine it will get terribly femmslasby about episode four. Shame it's a one joke show, though.

At the end of the current ms, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation wants to hand my murdered (very sweet, very good, should not have died) music historian's unfinished manuscript - on the spread patterns of Delta blues, up through Chicago, Chess Records, etc - to an established writer to finish.

Would you like the shout-out, love? Or should I not?

Definitely - and you realise, it's just the namedrop and not actually writing the book, right? As in, JP replying to a question about Ches's unfinished book by saying, right, they've given it to (insert) to finish - they wanted the book done properly. Along those lines?

But yep, if CSM - who definitely knew JP's inspiration - wants the mention, I'd squee. I still want to read his.
