I've just read Morningstar, the penultimate collected volume of Mike Carey's Lucifer,, to which I have to say 1.Holy frakking crap!!! and 2. How do you top that? I may actually go and buy the last few issues rather than wait for the collection, against my usual comics policy.#

And why isn't Lucifer a bigger fandom?

I love Lucifer! Thought it was a great comic, but I'm glad they ended it when they did. I think it's always better to go out on a high.

Have you read Mike Carey's novel The Devil You Know? Because I really enjoyed that too.

well...

i have so long relied on the collections that i had not realized it ended with vol. 10. every couple of years i go back and pick up the new trades... i thought this series would go on indefinitely.

it is likely i will agree with you, as more often than not you are right, but until i read the ending... well you understand.

We have and I've read the first four volumes of Lucifer. How are the volumes between #4 and Morningstar?

I like Lucifer, bit behind on the trades though.

Lucifer definitely goes out on a high. The final issue is awesome.

I love the way Carey handled the character of Lucifer, who would have been easy to mess up.
