My friend Adi is doing a webcomic LA MUSE which I find distinctly appealing.

so here it is.

Oh, and here is my Heroes review for Strange Horizons. A thousand words about Heroes as asked for by e.g. [livejournal.com profile] surliminal

VERY nice...

"just an ordinary brain-eating serial killer"

Two a penny, of course...

Well, the first thing I notice is that they've mispelled your name.

Crap. Now fixed (on the reviews page, and on the front page shortly). Profuse apologies, Roz, and thanks [livejournal.com profile] pnh for catching it.

I love Heros. I am having a strange problem with it tho. The series shows on a mainstream channel and ALSO on the Sci Fi channel. I Tivo the series and got terribly confused because I couldn't tell where I was in the story. Just five minutes ago I found the titles list and the order of them and printed it out. Should make things clearer. Thank you for the terrific review.

"Talk to the hand." That made my day.

Thanks. I am longing for the hopefuly upcoming deluge of coverage of Heroes in the Uk..
I am surprised so few people find Nikki sympathetic - i think she is, marvelously, a fresh take both on the "strong woman" character and the "split personality" trope.
I wonder if Peter Petrelli is deliberately a PP character? Tho it would be nice if we had an LL too :-)
And Hiro.. well. Hiro!
I assumed the multinationality thing was deliberately homaged from the New X-Men - no? (And that Mohinder was the first of the post Sayid-from-Lost wave of Hot Indian Guys.)
I like the fact that (as of ep 9, as far as I've got) we are still seeing new characters introduced or unexpectedly developing new powers.. ambitious plotting in an already ensemble-plus series.

Also, Nikki is in an interracial marriage, which is rare on American TV.

Love the Webcomic! Thanks for the link.

Also - interesting review on Heroes.... I've not been watching it, and maybe now I will. Your review tells me enough that I might not feel completely lost watching it. Thanks for sharing that, too.

Thanks, Graham.

LA MUSE is a 220-page graphic novel, and the serialisation will run throughout the rest of this year, after which it will be published in book form.
