And yet somehow I don't think this will satisfy Iran

Frank Miller was so asking for this response to the idiotic film of his idiotic comic. I am for once so delighted that I am linking to Youtube for this wonderful camp nonsense. It all makes so much more sense than the actual film.

(I snorted my tea.)

Ah, the Charge of the Lat Brigade. Best appreciated with the sound off so as to reserve full attention for Gerard Butler's washboard abs.

That's fantastic, much better than the film :D

Well, yes. I must admit the clips I've seen of 300 haven't produced any burning desire to subject myself thereto.

Having seen this, though, I might just have to... :)

Arf! I still want to see 300, though. All those digitally enhanced six-packs,toothgritting, leather panties and multiple piercings... What's not to like?

Off Topic

There is a great post on The Carpetbagger Report from a few days ago about the mainstream media's (specifically Time magazine's) ignoring the prosecutor purge scandal.

http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/10367.html

What explains the failure of the mainstream media to cover the purge scandal for so long, and so many other scandals? Do you think somebody just set up newspaper editors to cheat on their wives, and threatened to tell if the editors wouldn’t play ball when they come back some day and ask for something?

It wouldn’t be that hard to do, when you think about it. People wouldn’t talk about it.

Oddly enough, I haven't seen the film. But who the heck is Naked Fetish Gear Guy? Is that supposed to be Xerxes? Bagoas would faint with shame. And then have the guy quietly strangled.

Yes, that is Xerxes. This is a film about Miller's homosexual panic and so the King of Kings is an eight foot androgyne with gold eye shadow and piercings who keeps asking people to kneel before him. Whereas the Spartans are Manly and go Hoo! a lot. Cousins, totally cousins.
