(no subject)

For some reason, my AIM won't work. It keeps saying 'A server error has occured' and this happens even after I 1) reboot 2)turn off, wait and try again.

Help is no help at all.

Hey, it happens to me too. You may want to try the following:

1. Open up your Task Manager (I'm assuming your using Windows). You can do that by:
Start >> Run >> Type in taskmgr and hit Enter
2. Under processes, find the following two (and I'm also assuming your using AIM Triton):
aim6.exe, aolsoftware.exe
3. Hit Delete for both of them. It will bring up a prompt, just click yes to kill them.
4. Restart AIM. Should log you in fine.

I don't have AIM Triton.

It may still be an aolsoftware.exe/aim.exe software hang. I've only occasionally experienced that issue with my pre-Triton AIM versions, so, you can still try it and it may work.

Are you running an older version? They really hate that.

I have installed the beta version of Triton and seem to be back on line for the moment
