This is yet further evidence of why the struggle of trans people is the struggle of all women and the struggle of all LGB people. Whatever a trans person's sexual object choice identification, they are likely to face discrimination as a trans person that is precisely similar to all anti-queer discrimination and the refusal of free choice to women. The Catholic Church in the UK is imposing guidelines on its hospitals (as here)that put SRS absolutely alongside contraception and abortion as things up with which it is not prepared to put.

And this is why (1) the likes of Julie Bindel are, by creating a war between feminism and trans people, betraying the struggle of all people for autonomy and (2) why the idea that 'faith' organizations can be trusted to provide services on a basis of equality is a snare and a delusion.
