I keep meaning to post about Spidergate because it is such a classic example of what, in my book, I call the Stripmining of Continuity, but I need to sit down with all of 'One More Day' and get really irritated first.

The more the likes of Germaine Greer and Camille Paglia slag off Senator H.R.Clinton, the more I am drawn to sympathy with her. Does anyone in the world take that pair of malignants seriously any more? Add Lionel Shriver to the list, come to that, though at least she is quite a good novelist.

I suppose it is the automatic perversity that goes with writing as a columnist - they all think that for them to support her would be a boring cliche. Betcha Julies Burchill and Bindel denounce her in the next couple of weeks as well.
