Three things about poor neglected sidekick Wallace from Veronica Mars, if you please.

1. Wallace never got over being strung up on the flagpole by Weevil. He has never understood why Veronica tries to domesticate someone that dangerous and has always waited for Weevil to turn around and bite her. If Weevil ever seriously hurt Veronica, Wallace would quietly think 'I told you so' even though he never did, and do everything in his power to make Weevil a very sorry man indeed.
2. When Veronica finally told Wallace the truth about her relationship with Duncan - that he had screwed her when roofied while under the misapprehension that she was his sister- Wallace felt like a provincial hick anthropologist who would never understand Rich White People and their degenerate folkways.
3. Wallace suspects that Veronica does not even begin to understand that the bliss he gets from a great basket or a good pass is the closest he comes to how she feels when she cracks a case or how Mac feels about a good hack. He is a smart boy who lives in his head some of the time, but he also lives in his body. The reason he has never shown much sexual interest in either woman is that he suspects they wouldn't work - too much sex in the head.

1. When Dick found out that Logan had slept with Kendall, Dick's private masturbation fantasy was ruined. He had always thought about Kendall with firm young men a bit like himself, but trimmer, and as long as they did not have a face he could tell himself, dude, they're just shop dummies. When he found Logan's face sticking itself on those bodies, he had to stop. For fear that he would lose his erection, and fear that he wouldn't.
2. Dick knows that there are women in the world who would never sleep with him in any circumstances - Veronica, Mac. He pretends not to care; he pretends that they are not good looking enough for him. Sometimes though he catches their scent as they walk past, or sees the curve of a neck, or the corner of a smile and that is the closest thing to sadness that ever enters Dick's little world.
3. Dick knows that one day if he eats enough pizza and drinks enough beer, he will not be able to surf anymore and no hot chicks will ever look at him again. It isn't something that bothers him, or something that makes him happy; it is how the world is - things are good, and then they change, and then things suck. Dick is a philosopher.
